On 18th July 2023, the Office Superintendent of Community Health Centers (CHC), Dhanupur, Prayagraj, adopted five villages as part of a localized health intervention to support Tuberculosis (TB) patients. The five adopted villages are:

• Banpurwa
• Kalna
• Deva Parwa
• Kirav
• Adhani

Under this initiative, nutrition kits were distributed to TB patients residing in these villages. The distribution was planned to continue for a period of six months, aiming to improve the nutritional status and recovery outcomes of TB patients through consistent dietary support.

This initiative serves as a valuable precedent and baseline for the proposed project, highlighting the community’s acceptance of such interventions and the active role of local health authorities. Building upon this foundation, the proposed project by AVSAR aims to scale up and expand nutrition support and holistic health activities across a broader area of Prayagraj.
